An interview show for finance and procurement

The Rishi Raj Show

Conversations with the finance and procurement leaders who make contracts pay.

You negotiated the terms. Come talk about what it took to hold the other side to them.

Who comes on

People who own the number after everyone signs the contract.

The guests are CFOs, Chief Procurement Officers and the people who run finance and procurement at mid-market and enterprise companies. They're operators who have fought the battle that starts after signature: the credit a vendor owed and never issued, the uplift clause nobody applied, the rate card that crept above the price you agreed to pay.

You don't need a book or a big audience. You need a few stories from the work and an opinion about how the work should go.

  • 01

    A real conversation

You and Rishi talk for twenty to thirty minutes without a script while the recording runs. He asks about your work and your field, never about your personal life.

  • 02

    No prep and no pitch

There's nothing to rehearse and nothing to buy. If a question doesn't land, say "next" and the talk moves on.

The episode is yours to share

You get the full recording and short clips to post with your own network. Episodes go out on YouTube, LinkedIn and X.

How it works

Three steps, about an hour of your time in total.

  1. A 15-minute pre-interview

A short call to meet, pick the stories worth telling and agree what stays off the record. You'll leave knowing the shape of the conversation.

  2. The recording

You join from your browser through the link in the calendar invite, with nothing to download and no account to create. Headphones help. Then you and Rishi talk shop for twenty to thirty minutes.

  3. The episode goes out

Rishi publishes the episode, and you get the recording and the clips to post wherever your peers read.

The host

Rishi Bhatnagar

Rishi Bhatnagar has spent more than 25 years in data and analytics. He started out on bond ratings work at S&P, consulted at Ernst & Young, and has used Tableau since 2004. He founded Syntelli Solutions, a business intelligence systems integrator that still operates today, and went on to found QuaerisAI, a decision intelligence platform that answers questions in plain English on governed company data.

He is the founder of ObligaAI. It checks what signed contracts say against the invoices and transactions that follow, so finance and procurement teams can see the money they are owed and go get it. The show grows out of that work. Rishi has sat with enough CFOs to know the hard part is rarely the negotiation. It's what happens after.

The technology exists, the data exists. Yet a typical Fortune 500 executive will say I don't think I get the analytics. The last one foot of analytics is broken.

When it comes to finance data, you are standing in front of a CFO. You better be accurate.
